According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the night attack on Kyiv was preceded by an attack on the Odessa region the day before. As a result of the attack on the territory of the recreation center, several civilians were killed and injured, including children. civilian objects. “Civilians, homes and vital humanitarian assistance must never be targeted,” the humanitarian coordinator said.
The United Nations reiterated its call for respect for international humanitarian law, to ensure the protection of civilians and civilian infrastructure, and to prevent attacks on essential life assets, including humanitarian aid facilities.
