The UN Security Council met on Monday afternoon for an emergency meeting on Ukraine. The meeting was convened at the initiative of official Kyiv in connection with increased bombing by Russia, including the recent devastating strike on the Dnieper. According to authorities, more than five thousand drones and missiles have been fired into Ukraine in recent weeks, causing significant civilian casualties.
