A maternity hospital in Odessa was damaged as a result of Russian shelling last weekend. This is the fifth Ukrainian hospital supported by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to come under fire this year.

“Hospitals should never become targets. Attacks on hospitals are a violation of international humanitarian law,” UNFPA said. child. 

Residential buildings and critical infrastructure facilities were also damaged in the city. 

According to UNICEF, as a result of the attacks in Kramatorsk, a 13-year-old boy was killed, and in the village of Voskresenskoye, Nikolaevskaya region, a 13-year-old girl was killed and seven other children were injured. The school and other facilities were damaged  infrastructure. 

“Stop the attacks and the senseless destruction of young lives. Protect every child,” the foundation said. 

UN humanitarian agencies and their partners provided emergency assistance to the victims, including providing them with materials for urgent housing repairs.
