As a result of attacks on Kyiv over the past two nights, civilians, including children, have been killed and injured. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported this on its page on the social network X.
According to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), seven children were injured. The number of child victims is growing amid ongoing “brutal attacks on populated areas throughout Ukraine,” the foundation notes.
“Protect the children. Stop the attacks,” UNICEF said.
OCHA also reports that residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were damaged as a result of the attacks on Kyiv.
“Civilians and civilian infrastructure are not targets,” – emphasized in the Office.
