Class at summer camp Spilno. A free summer camp opened in Krivoy Rog with the support of UNICEF Culture and education

Free summer camp  Spilno with a creative program for children and young people aged 10 to 24 years old opened in the Theater Park of Krivoy Rog. From May 25 to June 30, everyone will be able to take part in classes taught by mentors from the creative industry.

The project is organized by the public organization “Cultural Platform of Transcarpathia” with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Ukraine and the German government in cooperation with the city council of Krivoy Rog.

This year the camp program & ;nbsp;Spilno will focus on two key topics – mental health and safety. Participants can freely express their emotions and learn to interact with the world in new ways. In addition to emotional well-being, the camp also hosts discussions on physical safety, including how to protect yourself from mines during war.

Participants will enjoy lectures, master classes, film screenings, board games, and group classes led by mentors on topics such as drama, design, free movement, contemporary art, directing, technology and innovation.

Camp Spilno has been operating in cities throughout Ukraine since 2022, about 10,000 children and young people have already passed through it. It is the flagship project of the Transcarpathian Cultural Platform, developed in partnership with UNICEF. The camp, in particular, is designed to unite local youth and displaced youth through joint creativity. Classes in the camp also contribute to the development of personality and improvement of the psycho-emotional state of the participants, offering quality time during the summer holidays.

“Cultural Platform of Transcarpathia” is a public organization that has been creating projects since 2016 to improve the mental health and social cohesion of young people through creative practices and modern educational approaches.
