The UN Secretary-General remains extremely concerned about the impact of fighting in eastern Ukraine, as well as along the Ukrainian-Russian border, including in the Kursk and Belgorod regions of the Russian Federation, on the civilian population.
This statement was made on Thursday by Deputy Spokesperson Farhan Haq on behalf of the UN Secretary-General, answering a journalist’s question at a briefing in New York.
“He reiterates his call on all to act responsibly and ensure the protection of civilians and civilian infrastructure,” Haq said.
