Ukraine’s Ministry of Energy confirmed that the attacks affected energy infrastructure across the country, causing power outages. There are also reports of interruptions in water supply. Train traffic on the rail network is hampered by damage to the railway network.
Since early Wednesday morning, UN and partner humanitarian workers have been providing assistance to the victims, complementing the work of government emergency services.
B In the Kherson region, an interdepartmental humanitarian convoy reached the village of Urozhainoye, a front-line settlement that is regularly subject to shelling and drone attacks. Together with partners, the UN delivered 11 tons of humanitarian aid there for thousands of residents: food, hygiene and sanitary kits, warm blankets, solar-powered lamps and medicines. This is already the 24th humanitarian convoy sent to the affected areas of the Kherson region this year.
