International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi has arrived in Ukraine to assess the damage to key electricity infrastructure that is crucial to the country’s nuclear safety.
This is the 11th visit by the IAEA chief to Ukraine since the start of the full-scale conflict almost three years ago. According to Grossi, these visits demonstrate the agency’s continued commitment to assisting Ukraine in ensuring nuclear safety.
The IAEA delegation includes Massimo Aparo, Deputy Director General of the agency, and Lydie Evrard, also Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Nuclear Safety and Security.
