Incident with UN convoy

The Israeli army delayed a UN convoy heading to the northern Gaza Strip for more than eight hours, despite the fact that its route had been agreed upon in detail. This was stated by the Commissioner-General of the UN Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) Philippe Lazzarini. According to him, the humanitarian workers were heading to the north of the enclave to take part in a polio vaccination campaign. Their vehicles were stopped at gunpoint. Israeli military bulldozers caused serious damage to them. At the moment, all UN personnel have returned safely to the base.
