In the resolution, the General Assembly decided to request the International Court of Justice to render an advisory opinion on the legal obligations of Israel with respect to the activities of the UN, other international organizations and third States in the occupied Palestinian territories. Particular attention is paid to ensuring the provision of humanitarian assistance and basic services, as well as support for the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination.

The document emphasizes the importance of the mandate of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) and calls on UN Member States to support its activities. The resolution also condemns measures taken by Israel that obstruct the work of international organizations in the occupied territories.

By adopting the resolution, the General Assembly once again called on Israel to comply with international humanitarian law, cease actions that obstruct the provision of aid, and contribute to the achievement of a sustainable peace based on the two-State solution.
