Dozens of civilians, including children and women, were injured as a result of shelling in Kharkov the day before. A shell hit a multi-story building. Rescuers and UN humanitarian workers are working at the scene.
The UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Ukraine Matthias Schmale reported on his page on the social network X about the consequences of the recent shelling for civilians in Kharkiv. He stressed that Ukrainian civilians continue to be subjected to attacks, stating that this is “unacceptable and must stop immediately.”
UN humanitarian workers are assisting Ukrainian rescuers and other emergency services working at the scene. The victims are receiving food, psychological support, and materials to restore damaged housing.
