UN humanitarian workers on the ground report that military action on Monday and over the weekend resulted in more civilian casualties in front-line areas of Ukraine.
On Saturday, about 30 civilians, including children, were injured as a result of an attack on a railway in the Kharkov region. As a result of the second strike, two people who rushed to help the victims were killed. Local authorities said that dozens of civilian buildings were damaged during the shelling, as well as railway infrastructure.
Fierce fighting continued in the Donetsk region. In the city of Myrnograd, multiple strikes killed and injured civilians, including a child, and damaged civilian infrastructure.
Humanitarian workers mobilized emergency aid for people victims of these attacks.
